Cheat Codes Infinite life In the main screen press: CIRCLE, L2, X, SQUARE TRIANGLE, R2, L2 Hint & Tips Escaping from guards Go to a high roof when chased. Kill the guards that appear. After a few kills they will either run or give up. Saving citizens Use the following trick for easy guard fights while saving a citizen. When trying to "save a citizen", run in, assassinate one guard with your hidden blade, then lock onto the closest guard and hold R1. When the guard comes in to attack, press Square to parry and kill the guard in usually one smooth, clean move. Repeat this for all guards to avoid taking damage. Kill anyone without a penalty After you beat the Game, when you go back to the story mode you can kill anyone without losing life. Defeating the Master When fighting the Master he will take away your ability to use radar and make it difficult to see. This also allows him to hit you once and kill you. Lock on to him and use a throwing knife against him. This will take away his power to blind you and make him easier to kill. Jerusalem: Assassination When you go to Jerusalem and do the assassination with the guards surrounding you, do not try to fight them off. Instead, turn around and run up the ladder to get to the second floor. A short intermission sequence will show your target running away and up another ladder. Hold R1 + X and run across the chandeliers. The ladder will be to the right. Run up the ladder and another short intermission sequence will show your target on top of another building. Chase him down and have your wrist blade enabled (press Up) Then, press L1 to lock onto your target while still chasing him down. When you get close enough, the word "Assassinate" will appear for Square in the upper right of the screen. Press it and you will complete your task. After another intermission sequence, evade the guards by jumping onto building roofs, hiding, etc. Make your way over to the bureau to complete the memory. Undefeatable If you have anyone attacking you from 1 person to 1 million people, all you have to do is keep R1 down and block and make sure your back isn't turned to anyone that is attacking you and then when anyone goes to strike you whilst holing R1 press attack when they are about to hit you. Throwing knives To get more throwing knives, walk towards a thug (big guys with leather hoods) and punch them, the gaurds will stay out of a fist fight and when you defeat him you will get 1 throwing knife, or you can go up to a thug and lock onto him, then pickpocket him, this also gives you 1 throwing knife. All flags and templars To know where all the flags and templars are, just visit this website: www.assassinscreed-maps.com/Maps.htm then select what area you are in, it will show the positions of them, and pictures of them. Defeating William of Montferrat in Acre After the guards (or most of them) leave William, drop down from the castle and slay William. Afterward, "de-target" or deselect, and run up into the castle buildings and battlement to get away. This is the fastest way of completing the mission. Easy fights Only attempt this technique if they are fluent in the Rank 2 skill "Counter" and they have enough synchronization bars (a.k.a., life bars). One and a half rows of bars will do. When in battle, equip your hidden blade. With this equipped, all of your counters will score an instant kill. You can even instantly kill tougher ranked guards (for example, the Teutonic guards in Acre when hunting Sebrand). Also, most of the time using the hidden blade in battle will scare the last one or two (even three if you are lucky) guards, causing them to run away. However because you do not have a weapon that is sufficient enough to block a full sized enemy blade, all incoming attacks will hurt you. Easier interrogation After you get the "target" to a safe area to "interrogate" them, punch them first then "grab" them for faster completions. It will take about two grabs to quickly finish them. However, into the last three quarters of the game you may have to grab them up to, but exceeding, four times. Unlocking doors When you go to bed after Memory Block 2, you will notice your closet door is open. Hit any button to get a piece of paper Desmond notes as a code.
